Who We Are

With nearly 15 years’ experience as a care provider, the Golden Nest Care Homes is proud to open its new location ROXY AVENUE for adults with mental health conditions and learning disabilities. We are a specialist, independent residential care home for service users aged 18 years and above with mental health needs and those with learning disabilities and associated with mental health needs. The purpose of ROXY AVENUE is to deliver effective ongoing support and treatment for those service users who are recovering from the mental health challenges.

We pride ourselves in offering high quality personal care for the adults with a person-centred approach that focuses on seeing the person rather their symptoms.  We measure our Naturally, there is more to our service provision than a few pages stating our purpose, therefore, our Statement of Purpose should be read and applied in conjunction with our wider policies, procedures and protocols.

Golden Nest Carehomes Limited is an independent care provider registered in England and Wales, providing care services to adults and elderly people. Social services, voluntary organisations and private clients purchase our care services.

Its shareholders and subscribers of our services mainly fund Golden Nest Carehomes Limited and qualified, experienced, committed and caring staff from their chosen fields manages the Home.

Managing Director/Nominated Individual: Mr Suresh Babu Konduru

Suresh is the Director and nominated individual of Golden Nest Carehomes Limited, he is highly qualified and experienced businessman with over 22 years of professional experience in a senior management position within IT, Education and Health Care Sectors combined with delivery of higher educational and vocational qualifications within Business, IT and Health and Social Care. He is currently owning and managing Shenstone House Nursing Home and Higham House Nursing Home and Suresh has been successful and instrumental in developing businesses from start-up and grow them to maturity levels.

Suresh’s responsibility broadly covers all aspects of the business from Leadership, Strategy, Business Growth to Quality Assurance. Suresh is assigned with the following specific responsibilities of ROXY AVENUE;

  • Leading the Organisation to enable it to fulfil its stated Vision, Mission and Core Values and Objectives
  • To appoint a Registered Manager in accordance with legislation
  • To provide direction and leadership to the establishment through Registered Manager
  • To maintain such skills as required carrying out the role at a current level, and undertaking such training and development as may from time to time be required to maintain the balance of staff and skills mix
  • To advise the Board of Directors and Advisors regarding the direction and development of policy with regard to the services of the Home in accordance with legislative requirements, relevant regulations, recognised standards and best practice
  • To ensure that the effective management, quality assurance and process centric system is designed and implemented.
  • To make unannounced visits to the establishment at least once a month and interview an appropriate sample of service users and employees and prepare the reports.
  • To ensure that regular review of all policies and procedures takes place at the specified intervals, notify the CQC of any important issues such as absence of registered individuals etc
  • To ensure an effective relationship exists between the staff and management.
  • Financial decision-making.

The Registered Manager: Mrs. Syama Nandakumar Jayakumari (Syama)

Syama, is currently employed as the Home Manager for another care provider, her employment at ROXY AVENUE is contingent upon successful completion of the site registration and her approval as a fit person. She is qualified and experienced person in different sectors, and she has been working in UK Healthcare settings since 2020.

As a registered manager of the Home, she will be the first point of contact for the care authorities, co-ordinating medical treatment, including administering assessments, developing care plans, monitoring medication compliance and developing professional network with the healthcare professionals and connecting service users with social and community support systems for their continuation of care.

Managing a team of care and other domestic, kitchen staff, their supervision, training and development, and various other daily tasks and conducting staff supervisions and meetings. Ensures that the systems are upto date, the Home is compliant at all times with the health and safety, quality of care and uphold it’s underpinning values and meeting the standards and statutory obligations of various bodies the Home work with. Reflecting on any changes to care packages are recorded and updated and attends meetings with the care co-ordinators, social workers, Psychiatrists and DOLS assessors and attending the medical reviews of service users, placement reviews and mental capacity reviews etc. Undertakes the monthly staff supervisions, and review and monitor the care plans and risk assessments.
